Fundraising Event

Our station has been on call throughout the pandemic, and several rescues have been performed during this period. In the last 12 months we have been on 17 missions. On the water and classroom training has been slowed, to curtail some interactions, but enough to maintain our skills.
As you may know all our fundraing events had to be cancelled, however the need for funding has not changed.
Our three projects are: Outboard Engines replacement – 2021 Boat lift and House upgrade and replacement – 2021 Marine Intercom Communications System These are Capital projects and our station needs to fundraise 50% of these. Our regular operating expenses of about $30,000 annually and require about 25% fundraising by our volunteers.   HOW CAN YOU HELP….. below some options for you to comsider.
 
 
1.) Return your empty bottles and plastic containers to Island Return it South Cowichan on 1350 Fisher rd, Cobble Hill, BC V0R 1L2. Modified Hours Tues-Sat 10-4pm.
If you tell them to pay your deposit returns to the Mill Bay Marine Rescue Society, they will accumelate your returns and save them for the Society.
2.) Ask us for  your Thrifty Smile Card,
The system is simple: Thrifty Foods will donate an amount equal to 5% of the dollars you load on to your pre-assigned Smile Card and these will be paid to the Mill Bay Marine Rescue Society.
Extra support in your organization’s pocket is as easy as that!

3.) If you add our membership number 84053 to your purchases at the Peninsula CO-OP, the Mill Bay Marine Rescue Society will get the annual Dividend Cheque.
